A small celebration on a beautiful, perfect (sunny, bright, warm) Friday afternoon....
Two small videos for your enjoyment.
One my husband found: http://headrush.typepad.com/creating_passionate_users/2006/04/miracles_and_de.html which he calls "Learning to Lie Down". The author (Kathy Sierra) writes an intriguing blog on high-tech stuff, but also insightful thoughts on work and life. I've enjoyed reading her blog and hope you will, too. The movie is very short, and shows a very young foal (only hours old) learning to lie down. Apparently it's a lot harder than learning to stand up! I couldn't run this video without help from DH, btw...
The second I found by threading my way through Kathy's blog, and it's your "moment of Zen" (ala Jon Stewart), a brief foray into the wild and wacky world of economics academia:

It took me a few views before I realized the "drum pad" one guy is drumming on is actually a laptop....
Oh, those funny, funny, economists!
P.S. There IS a Glenn Hubbard, and he WAS chairman of President Bush's Council of Economic Advisers, now dean of the Columbia Business School. And he WAS considered a strong candidate to replace Greenspan.
But the guy in the video isn't really him. Looks like him, though....
enjoy!
