It's Sunday. I'm resting.
But if anyone is fortunate enough to catch Bruce Baker's double workshop in Concord, NH on April 25 (Tuesday), take advantage!
Bruce will be presenting a workshop on booth design and one on sales/customer service techniques. I've heard Bruce speak dozens of times, and I'm going AGAIN! I always learn something new--something valuable--about improving my art biz.
These workshops will be hosted by the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen, and will be held at Horseshoe Pond Place, 26 Commercial ST in Concord, NH. Cost for League members is $15; for non-League members, only $25. Bring your own lunch, but free drinks and dessert will be provided. It is not yet known if desserts will entail C*H*O*C*O*L*A*T*E.
Pre-registration is advised. You can contact League HQ at 603-224-3375 or e-mail nhleague@nhcrafts.org for more information.
I've been accused of being a Bruce Baker groupie, and I plead guilty as charged. I've learned a LOT from Bruce, good, concrete information on making my booth better and improving my selling skills. I owe part of my success to him, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. So there.
Plus he is an entertaining speaker, wicked funny, so entertaining that my kids once requested we play his tape on a cross-country trip. When we got to one section of the tape where Bruce relates an anecdote about a customer and a blanket. When he hit the punch line, my son sighed and said, "I just love it when he says that!"
